STRADIVARI ANNIVERSARY CONCERT [CONCERT]

STRADIVARI ANNIVERSARY CONCERT [CONCERT] Online

For more than 80 years, the Library of Congress has celebrated the extraordinary craftsmanship of Antonio Stradivari with an annual concert highlighting our “Strads,” the gift of Gertrude Clarke Whittall. These five glorious instruments have been used in Library concerts by a long roster of memorable players, documented in our extensive concert recording archives. Sample just a tantalizing few of these, from a very rare wartime video recording of the Budapest Quartet filmed in 1944 to excerpts of stunning recent concerts by some of the world’s finest quartets—along with conversations with several Stradivari scholars.
