Meet the Author: 'Fattily Ever After' in conversation with Stephanie Yeboah Online
We are delighted to be joined by author Stephanie Yeboah, who will be talking about her new book - 'Fattily Ever After'.
Stephanie Yeboah is an author, freelance writer, public speaker and fat acceptance advocate, and a multi-award-winning plus size fashion blogger. She has written extensively for publications such as British Vogue, Stylist Magazine, ELLE, GQ, The Guardian and Who What Wear on body positivity, race, intersectional feminism and dating from the perspective of a black, plus size woman living in the UK.
Her first book – ‘Fattily Ever After’ – is a self-help guide and love letter to black, plus size women everywhere.
This event is pegged to the British Library's exhibition 'Unfinished Business: The Fight for Women’s Rights', which explores female equality through the themes of Mind, Body, and Voice.
This event is part of a nationwide programme taking place simultaneously in 25 library authorities across the UK as part of The Living Knowledge Network, a UK-wide partnership of national and public libraries, founded by the British Library in conjunction with the National Library of Scotland and the National Library of Wales. The only network of its kind in the UK, it aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and develop memorable experiences for library users.
This event is not hosted by the SJR State Library. We are sharing news of this free event because it is related to the curriculum offered at the College and, therefore, may be of interest to our students, faculty, and staff.
